Professional Development Center, Portland State University
For those of you in the Oregon area, the Portland State University Professional
Development Center offers a number of daytime and evening courses for working
professionals. The Project Management Certificate Program utilizes Applying Project
Management in the Workplace as a text.
Project Kickstart
We first came across Project KickStart a number of years ago. At the time, it was
the only piece of Project Management software that we felt could actually be used
for the process of planning a project. This is still true today. This program
offers a wide range of planning options and approaches. It is easy to use and
highly flexible. Along with a number of other interesting products, there is a
trial version available for download from the Project KickStart web site.
AllPM.com
AllPM.com is a portal site for all things project management on the web.
If you're looking for information related to project management, this is a great
place to start your search. They have links to all of the major (and many of the
minor) sites that have information about project management. In addition, they
produce a monthly electronic newsletter that has articles and features of interest
to the project management community.

The Project Management Institute is the professional organization for project
managers. This site covers all the activities of the organization including links
to all of the local chapters and information on gaining certification as a Project
Management Professional (PMP).
